I haven’t seen a window cleaner all day!” The window cleaner, in on the secret, would play along, closing the door and triggering a hilarious bark-silence-bark routine.

This delightful dance of bark and silence became a cherished ritual, a source of endless amusement for me Jules, Sirius’s mum, and the window cleaner. They often tried to capture it on video, but Sirius, the clever performer, refused to cooperate when the camera was present.
